SEW-Eurodrive (NZ) Ltd first started in New Zealand in 1988 and operated as a sales office with all product being supplied from Melbourne.

Within a year demand was sufficient to require a full NZ assembly operation which was established next door to our current premises. Demand for SEW product continued to grow and the original assembly plant soon became too small. In 1996 SEW moved next door to its specially built current premises.

In subsequent years another assembly plant was established in Christchurch to cater for South Island requirements and a Sales Office in Palmerston North followed suit.

Today, SEW-Eurodrive (NZ) Ltd is able to offer customers an extensive range of type of product and has the ability to provide many special configurations depending on requirement. SEW's Electronic product range has also expanded and stocking includes Servo Motors, Servo Controllers, Application specific software and peripherals, standard Variable Speed Controllers and our own unique motor terminal box speed controller, Movimot^®.
