Standard and energy-efficient motors are combined in one modular system according to a simple principle.
Motors for 50 Hz
Based on the standard motor (or IE1), the energy-efficient motor of the same power (High Efficiency or IE2) is realized in a motor that is one size larger than the standard motor. An energy-efficient motor of the same power (Premium Efficiency or IE3) is two sizes larger. As of size 200L, the Standard (IE1) and High Efficiency (IE2) motors are offered in the same size. The Premium motor (IE3) is then only one size larger than the standard motor (IE1).
Motors for 60 Hz
The drives for countries with a line frequency of 60 Hz can now take full advantage of this. In addition to the 60 Hz standard motors (IE1) of the same power as the 50 Hz variant, the two 60 Hz variants of the energy-efficient motors, the High Efficiency motor (IE2) and the Premium Efficiency motor (IE3) are realized in the same size.

The efficiency classes of the future
The efficiency ratings of the energy-efficient motors from SEW-EURODRIVE comply with international limit values and standards, often they surpass them.

Standard Efficiency / IE1
Europe, Asia, Africa, Central and South America (without Brazil)
High Efficiency / IE2
Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, Brazil and Europe
